Homero Olivarez, Sr., aged 74, passed away on September 16, 2024, in Arlington, Texas. Born on February 6, 1950, Homero was a skilled mechanic known for his expertise with big rigs, cars, and trucks. In his early years, he enjoyed a career as a truck driver, traversing roads far and wide. His later years were joyfully spent on his beloved ranch.
Homero is survived by his children, Homero Olivarez, Jr., Sandra Linda Briseno, Javier Homero Olivarez, Israel Homero Olivarez, Homer Eli Olivarez, and Angel Ove Olivarez; and his sisters, Rafaela Ybarra and Oralia Olivarez, 18 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Blas Olivarez and Josefa G. Olivarez, and his siblings, Lidia O. Garza, Olivia O. Casas, Jose P. Olivarez, Ove Olivarez, Esteban Olivarez, and Olga O. Olivarez.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday Sept. 27, 2024 at Rodriguez Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday Sept. 28, 2024 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Olivarez Cemetery.
